This is a ‘Building knowledge’ course: for those with some existing experience looking to expand knowledge, become more independent and learn ‘tips and tricks’ to tackle tricky projects.
Remote course jointly hosted between ABSL (University Leeds) and Midlands Regional Cryo-EM Facility (University of Leicester).
Course dates: 24th-28th January 2022
Registration opens 15th November 2021 and closes 10th December 2021. Participants will be informed by 17th December 2021 if they have been successful.
Day 1 will consist of lectures and theory, with breakout sessions to discuss projects. Days 2-4 attendees will be in small groups of 3 for the practical sessions, which will include 1.5 days on Titan Krios microscopes screening and collecting data through Tomography, and 0.5 day with demonstrations for sample preparation and discussion of data processing. Through remote access software, you will be given ‘control’ of the microscopes so you can get ‘hands on’ experience. 12 places available.
